AirPlay 2

Apple users can enjoy an additional layer of control over their Phantom with AirPlay 2®. Create a custom multiroom set-up by directly streaming audio from the control device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac) to numerous AirPlay 2-connected speakers, including Phantom.

Spotify Connect

Spotify users can stream their favourite playlists on their favourite speaker with the help of Spotify Connect. All that's needed? The Spotify app you already use, and a Wi-Fi connection. Phantom will pull your music directly from your network, conserving your device's battery and increasing audio fidelity.

UPnP

With Universal Plug and Play, or UPnP, users can switch to a third-party application to play music hosted on their local networks. In other words, with the help of a UPnP controller application, Phantom is able to communicate with an external hard drive.

Roon Ready

In addition to UPnP and the analog/optical input, Phantom owners are able to enjoy 24-bit-sample-rate music using Roon's streaming protocol. Phantom connects to Roon seamlessly, without any configuration steps, allowing users to enjoy perfect hi-res sound with ease.

A Devialet patented technology. Typical high-performance analog amplification comes at a cost: unreasonably high levels of energy dissipation. In a world first, Devialet's ADH hybrid amplification delivers all the refinement of Analog amplification (Class A) with all the power and compactness of Digital amplification (Class D).

The Devialet aesthetic.

In crafting Phantom’s overall look, we focused on function and an obsessive attention to detail. Some call it French savoir-faire and art de vivre. We view this as honouring craftsmanship and pleasure equally. Beyond its iconic spherical shape, Phantom also offers a range of colours, materials, and finishes that can stand out or blend in.

In designing Phantom, we immediately knew we needed to create a spherical object. It's the ideal acoustic shape for 360° diffusion and performance. But there's a reason no other speaker looks like Phantom: it's a challenging shape to work with. Through countless iterations, we were able to reconcile acoustics and aesthetics, giving life to a speaker that that would seduce all senses. 

When seen from the front, Phantom's compactness is unmissable. As you make your way around the sides, the elongated body and side plates are revealed. By stretching out the curvature, we were able to create a light, harmonious feel without sacrificing on loudspeaker power. Designed for longevity, Phantom’s body makes it more robust and performant, ensuring sound is unaltered even at higher temperatures.

GEOMETRIC PROTECTION.

Phantom's tweeter grill brings a touch of poetry to function. Its aesthetic inspiration was two-fold: 18th-century French gardens in a nod to Devialet's French origins, and the elaborate waves formed by Chladni patterns which make sound... visible. But it had to be solid enough to protect the delicate tweeter membrane. It took our designers multiple iterations to crack this technical and creative interplay, balancing performance and visual harmony down to the millimeter. No detail spared.

HUG THE CURVES. 

A nod to the sculpted lines of classic cars, Phantom’s radiator design is a statement of performance and function. From the exact distance between the dorsal fins to the thickness of the mold, every element was custom shaped with two goals in mind: to remove excess heat, and to look good while doing it. Core strength is everything, especially when your muscles are constantly being put to the test. Cast from solid aluminium, the robust structure can handle acoustic extremes with excellent thermal conductivity.
