As the most advanced analog interconnect in Nordost's Norse 3 Series, Tyr 3 incorporates technologies developed for the company's Reference and Supreme Reference cables. Its precision Twisted Pair geometry maintains consistent conductor spacing, helping reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk for a carefully controlled signal path.
Eight 24 AWG silver-plated solid-core oxygen-free copper conductors are arranged in four twisted pairs. Nordost's Dual Mono-Filament technology creates a virtual air dielectric around each conductor, while Mechanically Tuned Lengths help optimize conductor resonances. Each pair is individually shielded, with an additional braided shield providing 97% overall coverage to protect the signal from external interference.
Gold-plated Neutrik Profi RCA or Neutrik XLR connectors complete the design, providing secure connections to your source and amplification components. Combining advanced conductor geometry, carefully controlled shielding and high-quality terminations, Tyr 3 is designed to preserve the detail, dynamics and spatial precision captured in your recordings.
