Moon Mind 2 Network Player
This is the MOON MiND II Network Streaming Music Player. Really, it is the perfect link to the modern world of streaming networked music and digital hi-resolution playback of any kind. It seems to me that you could probably plug this into any existing HiFi setup with a suitable DAC and you are immediately up to date.
The control center of a MiND is our proprietary application running on an iPad, iPhone, or Android device. Not only does MiND 2 allow to access, browse and play the music you care for (from your computer, NAS, mobile devices and various internet based music services), it also gives you the control of your MOON Hi-Fi system for ultimate ease of use. This is what streaming music is all about!
The MiND 2 outputs a digital audio signal (Toslink, SPDIF, AES/EBU) allowing any DAC to reach its maximum sonic potential. The addition of Bluetooth® aptX™ audio support provides easy connectivity with your wireless devices.
The SimLink™ connection allows for control of any SimLink equipped MOON system, enhancing ease of use, without having to use the IR remote. The MOON MiND Controller App can adjust the real volume control of a MOON system rather than using the most common digital attenuation method. This maintains the true fidelity of the music at any volume setting.
MiND 2 is the second generation of the MOON intelligent Network Device. In addition to all original MiND features, MiND 2 is Roon Ready, offers multi-room synchronized playback and streams MQA* audio files.

"Far from flashy, but the Moon Neo MiND delivers the kind of musical performance we rarely hear from streamers anywhere near this price"
"In simple terms, the MiND doesn’t sound like a typical streamer. It is almost entirely free of those telltale deficiencies in timing and dynamics, performing with a level of musicality we’ve heard rarely, if before at all, in this price bracket"
"The natural delivery of vocals catches our attention, but, as the album livens up in terms of instrumentation, the MiND swings open its doors and shows us the amount of space available, and just how much it is able to offer each instrument without losing composure or a sense of organization"
"Fans of Moon’s signature sound will be pleased with the tuning here: there is no lack of punch, no sense the MiND is short of intensity, but it has that more laid-back temperament of many of its stable-mates"
"the MOON Neo MiND is in a league of its own" hifiandmusicsource.com
"The Neo MiND is a remarkable performer, capable of extracting so much from the digital data it is presented"
"The comparison in sound quality between the Naim Uniti Core and the Neo MiND was fascinating. Notionally at least, I expected the two to either sound the same (implying transparency on the Moon’s part) or to hear the Naim sound better (by virtue of fewer devices between music and DAC). In fact, the sound of the Neo MiND was markedly better than the Uniti Core in this respect. The onboard BNC link of the Naim sounded listless and shut in by comparison. Granted these differences were relatively subtle, there was no stamping of feet or swearing, but the Moon eclipsed (see what I did there?) the Uniti Core just enough to be noticeable.
The Neo MiND sits in a product category that was effectively invented by Moon, and the company remains damn good at it, with a fine balance of cost and performance that other brands tip in their own direction. The Moon Neo MiND dominates the optimum balance position and does so beautifully.
The Moon Neo MiND UPnP renderer/ streamer does its job so well, you sometimes wonder if you are being subtly influenced to like it through MiND control. It slots into practically any system with a DAC with ease and brings what could easily be dismissed as a ‘legacy’ system bang up to date. The chances are, if you are exploring this kind of upgrade, the Neo MiND might be your first Moon product, but once you’ve played with it for even the shortest time, you’ll realize it won’t be your last. Outstanding and highly recommended.
