amplifier design and improved every aspect of it.
The result is an incredible refined product.Replacing the Moon 240i wasn't easy. The 240i was already rated product of the year by What Hi-Fi magazine when they said;"Its sophisticated performance puts the 240i in a class of its own"
The Moon 240i was already close to perfect, especially when it comes to price/performance and the materials used for production:-We have an analogue design classic that delivers the renowned MOON audio performance and represents outstanding value.-We already use selected hi-end components, the rest use 5% tolerance or greater
So, it was not easy to find improvements without the price exploding:We went to work on refining the amplifier using trickle down from our expensive hi-end models;-We now use the same precision matched proprietary MOON Bipolar output transistors as used in the Moon 600i, for improved bass response and accurate sonic reproduction
-We added a rigid chassis construction to minimize the effects of external vibrations-We use Nichichon Capacitors-We use an Alpl volume control
-We upgraded the circuit design to provide an improvement in sound quality-We added a MM phono preamplifier. For the first time turntables can now be connected to the 250i v2 allowing the listener to enjoy natural and precise vinyl replay.The 250i v2 is an analogue design classic that delivers the renowned MOON audio performance and represents outstanding value.Again, we have set the bar for an affordable high-performance Integrated Amplifiers that also looks and feels incredibly luxurious higher than ever before.
