GoldenEar T66
Founded by Sandy Gross, who previously co-founded Polk and Definitive Technology, GoldenEar brings the experience of a speaker design giant. The company was recently aquired by PML Sound International, who also owns Paradigm, Anthem, and MartinLogan. Manufacturing is done in Canada.
The GoldenEar T66 is a three-way floorstanding tower speaker with a powered-bass section, designed to deliver high-quality sound with a smooth, lush character. It's a sleek, refined speaker that builds upon GoldenEar's established Triton series design, offering a compelling combination of performance and aesthetics.
Since its inception, the focus has been on speakers that leverage a D’Appolito MTM (midrange, tweeter, midrange) array featuring an AMT (air motion transformer) tweeter. It’s a combination that offers highly detailed, cohesive sound. The T66 speaker renders exquisite levels of detail in the mids and highs but also plays clean, deep, tangible bass into the 20 Hz range.
The T66 has received accolades such as the HiFi News Outstanding Product Award and Audiophilliac Best Audiophile Speakers award.
