FiiO FT-7 Headphone

- Patented Multi-Layer Diaphragm Coating: The diaphragm is coated with a patented multi-layer system of 24K gold and pure silver. The gold coating enhances damping for a relaxed and rich mid-to-low frequency sound, while the silver coating improves conductivity for highly detailed treble, resulting in a balanced yet tonally rich sound.
- Uniform Magnetic Field Design: It employs a dual-sided push-pull magnetic circuit system with 18 high-performance N52 neodymium magnets per driver, designed using finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure a uniform magnetic field. This reduces distortion and driver breakup, ensuring even movement and improved sound clarity.
- Premium Build Quality: The headphones feature a lightweight yet robust construction, combining a carbon fiber headband and chassis with natural African zebra wood grilles on the earcups. The total weight is a relatively low 427g, contributing to excellent comfort for long listening sessions.
-
Sound Customization Options: The FT7 comes with two sets of easily swappable ear pads:
- Lambskin pads for a clear sound, wide soundstage, and high detail.
- Suede/fabric pads for a more breathable, skin-friendly experience with enhanced atmosphere and stronger, fuller bass.

Reviews
"I feel embarrassed about how much love I’ve given FiiO this year. They target cash-strapped audio enthusiasts who refuse to accept that good sound requires deep pockets. More importantly, their hit-to-miss ratio is unusually high. When they get it right – and they often do – they get it really right.
The FT7 arrived just as I was looking for another pair of high-end headphones. These open-back planars sell for €799 (US$850), putting them slap bang in Meze 109 Pro territory. What I wasn’t expecting was for them to make me stop reaching for headphones selling for €2000 and up" read the review by Darko Audio
