Dali Oberon 1
Denmark is a small country and the Danes seem to love audio and as a result Denmark is home to many major speaker manufacturers, including Bang & Olufsen, Gryphon, Borresen, Dynaudio and Dali.
Dali approach loudspeakers with an aggressive engineering mindset. They are music lovers and are doing things in service to the music, but they clearly believe they can use various kinds of engineering science to get closer to the absolute sound.
Wood Fibre Cones
Our low-loss drivers combine low-mass paper cones with wood fibre for an uneven surface that eliminates resonance and reveals every detail. Why wood? Others use plastic, or metals - that can lead to "metallic" or "plasticky" sound. Wood is quiet and it only reproduces what is on the music.
Soft Dome Tweeter
The ultra lightweight, weaved fabric dome tweeter offers best-in-class resolution. Audiophiles love soft domes, as they sound smoother that metal tweeter drivers.
Amplifier Friendly
The custom DALI drivers eliminate the need for crossover frequency correction for close-to-zero signal loss. The sound is lively, even with less powerful amplifiers.
Optimized Cabinet
Cabinet design isn't just about good looks
The OBERON 1's extremely rigid structure is achieved with solid bracings across the inside of the cabinet, which practically eliminates cabinet resonance. The bass ports at the rear of the cabinet optimise room integration by using a rear wall surface to improve bass performance. There's also a keyhole bracket at the back for on-wall mounting.
