Constellation Revelation 2 Pre-Amplifier

The Constellation Revelation 2 preamplifier is considered high-end due to its unique Line Stage Gain Module, C-SMPS power supply, and true dual-mono design, which contribute to exceptional depth, musicality, and clarity in audio reproduction. It also utilizes a digitally controlled resistor ladder for precise volume control. 

Line Stage Gain Module:
This module, a cornerstone of Constellation preamplifiers, features fully balanced, mirror-imaged circuits with hand-matched, low-noise transistors. A unique servo circuit ensures signal balance and corrects inconsistencies. Some say this goes beyond Class A in smoothness and delicacy.
The Line Stage Gain Module is a big part of why Constellation components have won raves from so many reviewers over the last decade. The module incorporates fully balanced, mirror-imaged circuits made from hand-matched, low-noise transistors.

C-SMPS Power Supply:
The Constellation Switched-Mode Power Supply (C-SMPS) delivers a quieter DC voltage (more than 20 dB quieter) than linear power supplies, and it does so consistently regardless of AC line voltage fluctuations. No need to spend $10,000 on a power conditioner. The result is greater rendition of bloom around instruments, and greater musical harmonics and ambience. 

 

True Dual Mono Design:
The Revelation 2 is built with left and right channels physically separated, including separate inputs and outputs, minimizing interference and maximizing channel separation. Imaging is more focussed.

 

Digitally Controlled Resistor Ladder:
The preamplifier uses a digitally controlled resistor ladder for volume adjustment, providing more precise and accurate control than traditional potentiometers. Sound quality remains more constant at all listening levels, and Left and Right channels are now locked in place, no more leaning to one side or the other.
