Moon 400M Mono Poweramp
The 400M is a traditional class-A/AB design with eight bipolar output devices per channel, delivering a whopping 400W into 8 ohms or 650W into 4 ohms. JFETs are used for the input stage, and the beefy transformer at the center of the amp’s interior, toward the front, a proprietary Simaudio design.
A high-power balanced amplifier offers several advantages, including increased headroom, which allows for louder and cleaner audio, better control over speaker drivers, and reduced distortion, especially at high volumes. These amplifiers can also better handle complex audio passages, providing a more detailed and dynamic sound experience
