Set and forget
Your pickup (stylus) has been lovingly crafted. Whether it’s MM or MC, no two cartridges are identical in performance.
The iPhono3 Black Label enables you to set the precise load/gain for the cartridge you have. Squeeze every last drop of performance out of your precious pickup.

Spec’d to thrill
Beneath the modest footprint of the iPhono 3 Black Label are Class A TubeState and DirectDrive Servoless technologies. Specially developed by AMR for iFi audio.
All underpinned by some quite special audiophile components from Burr-Brown, TDK and Nichicon. To name but a few.
With such dedicated circuitry and devoted components, it has a whisper-quiet noise floor and measured THD of an incredible <0.005%.
The iPhono3 Black Label is special. It should be powered by something special.
It comes with the iPower X, the very latest in power supply technology.
iPhono3 Black Label + iPower X = Super Duo.
“Unconditionally recommended” were the two words that Jason chose to conclude his iPhono3 Black Label review. These words, combined with his high praise in the review and its reasonable retail price, earned the iPhono3 a Reviewers’ Choice award when the review was published. But Jason continued to sing its praises to other SoundStage! Network reviewers, and when Doug Schneider listened to the iPhono3 in one of his systems he also found it to be outstanding. Finally, Jason’s subsequent purchase of the review sample for use in his own system convinced us that this small, affordable phono stage from iFi Audio deserves more recognition—so this month we are presenting the iPhono3 Black Label with a Recommended Reference Component award as well.”

"Low end was tighter, mids were equally smooth, but the upper registers sparkled. I dislike using the word neutral, but it felt very neutral, in the sense that no single sound range stood out. The dynamics were extra tight and shimmery, and that might’ve been due to the iPhono’s very low background noise. Of the two, I felt like the iPhono had a much more forward presentation, and the top end and the midrange both really stood out. On that same track “From the Streets,” the guitar riff rang clear over the tight drumming and had a touch more shimmer, the reverb held a moment longer, and the dynamics felt sharper overall. There were some borderline rough moments, but the iPhono never flinched in its performance"
