A narrow cable connects the two earpieces and a couple of junction boxes on the cable house the battery and the controls. The control box has the standard three-button array with a rubber-covered micro-USB port for charging. One advantage of this battery arrangement is its long battery life. Wireless earphones where the batteries are in the earpieces tend to last for only 4-5 hours on a single battery charge, but the Focal Spark Wireless can manage eight hours.
They include a carry case and a selection of three pairs of silicone tips.
These aren’t neutral or particularly 'hi-fi' earphones. Just fun. A slight emphasis on treble and bass. At lower volumes, they’re a fairly relaxing listen.
Wireless transmission of audio is done by Bluetooth 4.1 which is standard in this price range - while it isn't quite as good CD quality or as good as a wired connection, it does the job.
